Interactive Blog Post

All month long I have been reading these "what I am thankful for" posts on Facebook and I always have something funny to say to them in my mind.
For example: one friend wrote "I am thankful for my husband who cooked me dinner, washed all of the laundry, gassed and washed my car, put flowers on the table and then rubbed my back" to which I wanted to say "I think he might be cheating on you and feels guilty".

But I just hit "like"

Or the one that was thankful because her husband changed all the light bulbs in the house yesterday. (were they ALL burned out??)

Seriousness is sometimes so hard when you can be a dork instead.

But really.
What are you thankful for?
It can be something silly and shallow or a bunch of things.
Do tell....(even if you don't usually comment, do it anyway)

  1. I'm thankful that my husband isn't cheating on me and that all my lightbulbs burn bright :)!

  2. Today I had to replace some overhead electrical lines. I had to stand in the bucket of my loader when it was all the way to the top, and perch precariously on the edge to do what I needed to do.

I'm thankful that I didn't fall out. The ground is frozen now and I don't bounce nearly as well as I did about 5 years ago.

    .....does that count? :)

  3. LOL; this is fun to think of. Of course I'm thankful for Jesus and my salvation through him.

But right now I'm really thankful that my son is not at home (so I could tell him "I told you so") and is trying to solve a problem with getting his car fixed that I offered to help fix earlier in the week and its a busy weekend for him with work tonight and work all day tomorrow and he might not have a car available to go and visit his girlfried 70 miles away on Sunday like he always does. So I'm thankful that he is having to solve the problem on his own after I volunteered to help solve it earlier in the week.

  5. I am thankful I am just this side of 'postal'. I have a mere two days left before break (and let's talk about 2-day work weeks, shall we? WTH??? Just give up the whole week and no one gets hurt!!!)

I am thankful that in just a few days my oldest comes home. For Thanksgiving. I will have my whole brood in the nest. This mama chick is thankful.

  8. This made me happy, because those facebook posts somewhat get on my nerves this time of year. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great idea, to do privately in your own journal or something. I also have sarcastic replies I want to make, but don't, so this made me laugh. Glad I'm not the only one out there that thinks that way too! :)

  9. I'm thankful that my house is kinda clean, dogs aren't too dirty, and the husband is out of town so I can sit on the couch-drink wine and have the remote all to myself :-)

  11. I think these people who post about how wonderful their husbands are are LYING. But perhaps I'm a little bitter. Anyway, how about if I choose to be thankful that I do not have a stinky, messy, lazy man mussing up my home right now? I prefer dogs.

  12. I am thankful that every day I am just a little bit better than I was the day before with getting rid of this bug. *cough-cough-cough*
Thankful I have run across you, my very-busy-make-up-and-clothing-loving friend who makes me laugh. I am also leery of men who act too good to be true--LOL! ;)

  13. I'm thankful that I don't have one of those families that makes you say what you're thankful for every Thanksgiving. That and the snagle-toothed girl at Walmart who carded me when I bought beer the other day.

  14. You are too funny!! I'm thankful for all of the leftovers that I'm going to take/steal from my mom's house tomorrow.

And I'm thankful for blog friends like you...oh and John's Mayer's body being a wonderland.

  15. I'm late on this. My back went out the day before T-giving and I've been out of commission a bit. I'm thankful it's getting better. I'm grateful I have a friend who is a massage therapist, b/c she gave me a massage on Friday that was very helpful. I have a lot of blessings, but right now I'm just grateful to be easing out of this pain. :-)
